Guinness Updated...

Wow, I guess its not so far fetched for us to create a category in The Guinness Book of World Records after all? They wrote me back we are in Stage 2 of 4. The Most Toppings Available on a Hot Dog could very well go to Dinky Dawgs. We would hold the title and invite anyone to challenge us of course. So far we boast over 57 of the most unique toppings. They said for us to sit tight and wait for their official deliberation - sooooo we wait. ;)

Can you believe there is no category for the Most Toppings on a Hot Dog in the World?

Well I have officially applied for the very title. As of next week we are boasting over 70 amazing toppings! That's just nuts - 12 weeks ago when we opened we started with 25, incredible feedback from our loyal Dinky Dawgers. Lesson #2334 - Always listen to your customers.

Well I hope this pans out cause it would be pretty cool to throw our Official Grand Opening Launch Party with the Guinness Title under our belt.

Dinky Dawgs 2.0...

This is a mock up I did for a very unique & tiny little closet of a space located in the Main Village Information Center. It's in the Village Loop and where 35 Buses off load 100's of hungry tourists each and everyday. This is the pulse of curious tourists looking for adventure in Whistler and of course a quick snack.

It's a perfect fit for us and a logical step forward for our brand. The offer is in now we wait.

The FIRST 26 DAYS of Dinky Dawgs...

I guess this is the end of one part of my life - and the start of a completely new adventure. We did it - Our little shop Dinky Dawgs is a complete success and a Whistler legend in the making. Only a few short months ago this was nothing but a cartoon and an idea in my head. Today we serve up the most decadent Hot Dawgs anyone has ever seen or tasted. The fans have all shown their loyalty - kids of all ages just love it. I am so proud of my partners, my girl Cene, our amazing team, our neighbors, all the folks that have helped grow this brand to become a reality for everyone to enjoy.

This was by far - the best decision of my life, coming back to live here again never felt better.

I love you Whistler ;)

Do it Yourself and never look back....

Most Restauranteurs never even see this stuff, manuals & procedures guides. I wanted to design our own, what was in it and be specific about how I entice my staff to care about Dinky Dawgs and want to keep it beautiful and running smooth everyday. A clean shop is a smart shop and will last the test of time as a place our staff & customers can enjoy being inside as they enjoy working & ordering their fav Dawgs. Today I made the Clean up Guide. Open and Close Guide & our Recipes Manuals. Phew!

From the first moment when I conceived the entire concept for Dinky Dawgs I had a pretty tight vision. I knew I had to prove the brand in a place like Whistler. I also knew it would that when it came time to return to the city, I had to consider the competition in the city of Vancouver. There are hot dog vendors on every corner, these new food trucks everywhere and the guys with actual shops in Granville or in the malls etc. Pretty heavy when you think about it?

Imagine jumping on the Dinky Dawgs Dine & Dash! The bus has a trackabel App on your smart phone, you can see the fixed route and the ride is free! Enjoy your lunch, see the beautiful city of Vancouver as we take you by all the hot spots and the ride is one us. The bus is also very environmentally conscious - It's Propane powered, it's also Solar powered, our Kitchen is totally Electrical and we have nothing frozen and nothing fried - No deep fryers means no oil. There's more - You can charge your phones at each of the tables upstairs in the Dining Lounge, there's cool lighting, music and it's heated for the winter!
